2008- 09 North Dakota Junior Gold
Welcome Jr. Gold Hockey Fans! The 2008-09 High School Hockey season is just around the corner. We in the North Dakota Jr. Gold Hockey League wish to thank ndhighschoolhockey.com for adding us to their site this season. We are teaming up with Bob Gillan, Gary Shields, and Nick Perez with Dawson-Kidd Advertising and Booya Web Design as they have provided the layout design of the site and the technical aspects of the site. Along with Gary is Daniel Kramer who has done all the developing of the site and links on the site.
The nine Jr. Gold teams in our state will now have the same linked pages as do our Boy’s and Girl’s Varsity High School Teams. Lee Haugen, Grand Forks Stallion’s Team Manager, has stepped up to the plate to take the position of Jr. Gold Statistician for the web site. So besides getting onto ndhighschoolhockey.com for your up-to-date Varsity Boy’s and Girl’s stats, standings, and scores, you will also gain access to all the same data for the North Dakota Jr. Gold League. Basically, we are trying to provide a one stop shop for all your high school hockey teams and leagues here in North Dakota.
For those of you who haven’t heard of Jr. Gold Hockey before, it was called Midget Hockey before 1997 and is part of the Hockey USA system. It is for high school age players age 19 and under. For many of our teams, they are the cities’ high school team. We complete annually for a state then regional championships.
We want to let everyone know that Gary Shields is part of our staff along with Dan Kramer. If you are contacted by either individual during the fall and winter, they are representing Jr. Gold and ndhighschoolhockey.com. The site is independent and is not under North Dakota Amateur Association, but was recognized by the NDJGH Board this past September. We are very excited for the upcoming season. Good Luck to all teams, coaches, and players this year and make sure to stop by on a regular basis to www.ndhighschoolhockey.com for all your hockey information during the season.
We of the North Dakota Jr. Gold wish to thank Bob, Gary, and Dan for all their hard work, and for adding Jr. Gold Hockey to the site.
