Bismarck High picked by West Region Coaches to win West Region.
The 2015-16 High School Hockey season kicks off tomorrow and Bismarck High is the preseason pick of the West Region Head Coaches to win the West Region Regular Season League Title. The Demons picked up 7 of 9 First Place Votes and a total of 63 points in the poll. The Demons went [11-2] in the Region and tied the Bismarck Century with 42 Region Points and finished [21-6-0]-Overall and Third at the State Tournament. Minot High finished second with 58 points and two First Place Votes in the poll. The Magicians won the ND State Hockey Tournament last year and the coaches in the West see them finishing high again. Bismarck Century and Mandan round out the top four in the poll. The total poll results can be found by going to the Coaches Poll tab at the top of the website home page.
Grand Forks Central tabbed by East Region Coaches to win the East Region
The East Region Coaches have picked the Knights from Grand Forks Central to win the East Region Regular Season title again this season. The Knights won the region last year and are picked to win again this season. Central finished second to Minot at the State Tournament and finished the year at [22-4-1] overall and [12-1-1] in the region. G.F. Red River was picked second by the East Region Coaches followed by West Fargo and then Fargo South/Shanley and Fargo Davies who tied for fourth place.

Bismarck Girls picked to win the Girls State Regular Season title this season
The Bismarck Blizzard picked up 7 of 10 First Place Votes and 85 poll points to take the preseason top spot over second place Grand Forks who received 82 poll points and two First Place Votes. Bismarck finished [17-0] during the regular season and [21-2] - Overall. Bismarck edged Grand Forks 3-2 to win the State Tournament last spring and by the coaches votes the two could get back to Grand Forks in February for a rematch. West Fargo was picked third by the coaches followed by Fargo North/South. The rest of the poll can be found by going to the Coaches Poll Tab at the top of the page.
