West Region Standings and Tournament Preview:

The West Region Standings are close to becoming finialized. After Bismarck Century's win over Mandan Monday Night, it is now down to Thursday's game between Bismarck Century at Williston for the West Region Regular Season Title and the #1 & #2 Seeds for the West Region Tournament. The teams tied earlier this season and with Century up by one point, all the Patriots need is a win or tie to lock up the #1 Seed. Williston has to win the game in order to win the conference. Bismarck High still has a game with Jamestown but they have locked up the #3 Seed for the tournament. Mandan and Minot still have a head to head game with eachother and more than likely will finish #4 and #5 in the standing which would also pit these two teams against one another in the opening round of the tournament. Bottineau can still pass Minot which would put them against Mandan in the second game of the tournament. Bottienau has 6 points left to play for and needs to win all the games and have Minot lose pretty much all of their games for the Braves to pass Minot so in all likely hood it appears that Bottineau would be the #6 Seed and open up with Bismarck High in the opening round of the West Region Tournament. The #7, #8 and #9 Seeds are all still up for grabs as Dickinson, Hazen-Beulah and Jamestown are all tied with 5 points. Dickinson just has the one game against Hazen/Beulah while both the Northstars and the Blue Jays have 4-points to play for so it will go down to the weekend to sort this out.

The few things we do know is the Play-In Game is set and it will be Wahpeton/Breckenridge at Fargo Shanley. Wahpeton/Breck still has a 4-point game against West Fargo but even if they win and Shanley loses to West Fargo, Shanley owns the head-to-head tie breaker with Wahpeton/Breck. The winner of this game will earn the #8 Seed and open up the East Region Tournament against the #1 Seed at the Fargo Urban Plains Arena. West Fargo can finish no lower than 5th Seed as they swept both Fargo North and Devils Lake so those teams can not pass West Fargo. That means Fargo North and Devils Lake are playing for the 6th and 7th Seed. The top five spots are still wide open but West Fargo can finish no higher than 3rd Seed. G.F. Central can finish no lower than 3rd Seed while Grafton/P.R. can finish no lower than 5th Seed and no higher than 2nd seed.
I need all Girl's Head Coaches to go through your schedules and e-mail me your 4-Point Games so I make sure that the points in the standings are correct!
